Thanks, I'll look into this. I implemented the default Apple behavior and obviously some additional step is necessary to have it work in the appropriate manner. For now Only "untitled" is available as a window name until the doc is saved. I'll do some research and have this workable, hopefully soon.

Just an update; I'm still looking into this and comitted to having a decent fix in the next few releases, or at least before 3.0. Fortunately there is the workaround mentioned (i.e. using the Windows Menu) but since this is non-standard for those who regularly need and use VoiceOver it's a substandard answer at best. I will be getting into the 3.0 Leopard recode sometime next month ; I'm hoping new documentation if any (if not the API, if there is an upgrade to it [wouldn't be surprising with how much will be upgraded in Leopard]) is going to be a help.

Update: I have been looking into different methods of fixing this issue, and it appears I can arrange a workaround by providing/duplicating some of the accessibility features of the OS in the App. If I go this route I will make sure to do it in a complete implementation, but such an overhaul will be waiting for the Leopard-savvy upgrades (Diamond 3.0+) this fall. In the meantime I apologize for the difficulties, and I hope the workaround I have suggested is functional enough to make Diamond useful for you until I have the issue dealt with.

Diamond has some issues with accessibility for the blind using VoiceOver, the Macs built in screen reader. When you bring up a list of windows it does not give the window name only untitled making the user go through all the windows to find the one he wants.
